I have a lovely T.S. Eliot collection that has notes in red all over the margins. I have no idea who wrote them or when they wrote them, but I love it with love.Beccahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11946347499034692154noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-470222000937123617.post-86989385212452254132009-11-12T13:37:17.583-06:002009-11-12T13:37:17.583-06:00I know that when I order used books I always look ...I know that when I order used books I always look for "clean" ones, but one book that I ordered for a class at Ole Miss was written in, and it was so much fun to read. Whoever had it before had underlined and defined words, annotated, cross-referenced ("also see p. 47" and even to other books), and made editing suggestions (such as "this point should have been discussed in chapter 2" or "more explanation needed"). I wouldn't mind getting more books written in like that.Stephaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00316442650528715867noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-470222000937123617.post-6605154201710521162009-11-12T12:53:25.878-06:002009-11-12T12:53:25.878-06:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-470222000937123617.post-64232211950717110632009-11-12T11:42:59.479-06:002009-11-12T11:42:59.479-06:004. But I usually sell everything when I move or when my shelves are full (where I'm staying right now, the guest room has only one small shelf and the piles are already all over the floor), and books sell less well if I've written in them. So I don't.Jonathan G. Reinhardthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06282559656120470343noreply@blogger.com
